Below is a shot from the paddock that leads us to the ancient at least 500 years old Puriri trees. It is a privilege to have these giants so close by our home. 

Samuel is inviting us into the magical forest flanking our valley.

I turn 180 degrees from where I take my favorite picture of the Otamatea river and here we see the river flowing towards the Kaipara harbour -

the native ancient bush goes right down to the water which is the literally end of the peninsula

I know...sigh... so majestic
